Disabled access

Guests with walking frames, pushchairs or in wheelchairs are warmly welcomed and have free to access all areas.

As many areas as possible in the Haus der Berge are made to be accessible for everyone – this is one of the main goals of our national park centre. Within the buildings, this aim was achieved almost completely. We are also constantly working to optimise conditions in this respect.

Barriers such as high doorsteps, stairs, difficult-to-read texts in exhibitions etc. can make access to facilities or participation in events difficult for people with disabilities.

Berchtesgaden National Park already provides a number of options for people with disabilities, e.g. disabled-access tours. In addition, a number of the National Park’s hiking paths are also suitable for wheelchairs. This range of options is to be expanded further in future.
